When Did You Last Have Mountain Time

Matthew 14:23 says about Jesus, "And when He had sent the multitudes away, He went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when evening was come, He was there alone." Everybody needs mountain time. What I mean by this is that everybody needs to get alone with God. As believers we are commanded to stay in constant prayer. We are to have daily devotional time with God. We can do this while working around the house or at work. We can do this while cooking or watching the kids. However there are times when we need to be alone with God. We need those times where there is no phone to distract, no kids to pull on our legs wanting something. We need those times alone away from everyone and everything that pulls us away from full attention with God. There are so many distractions around us. I challenge you to do what Jesus did in this passage. Get alone by yourself away from all the chaos around you. Cut the phone off and take your lunch off by yourself. Walk in the woods or by the lake. What ever you do, just get alone and let the Lord speak to you again. I promise it will be of great benefit. Have a great Sunday and God bless.
